About this cartoon: A key priority of Republicans for decades has been to control the flow of information its voters see. Donald Trump and the GOP weaponized Fox News, Sinclair Broadcasting, One America News and other far-right propaganda sources to present Trump in only flattering ways, while demonizing political opponents and casting "mainstream media" (i.e., actual objective journalism) as the "enemy of the people." In large swaths of the nation Fox News is the ONLY televison news people see, and it blares constantly from every TV set.
